Sandy & I met in London when he accidently knocked me over when enthusiastically he came running down the stairs of a bar. We talked for a while, I went back to my friends and then in typical Sandy style he came to find me to make sure I was OK while also asking for my phone number. In true Sandy style he phoned me the very next day at 9 am and offered to cook me dinner that evening - I didn't realize at this stage that was the one and only time Mr Mcnair cooked for me and that his culinary skill extended to only a couple of dishes. What followed was a wonderful, wonderful number of years with the kindest man that I have ever met. We travelled a lot , visiting australia, new zealand, thailand and many other places, although his favourite was Lapland as the climate reminded him of home in Scotland !
My memories of him are too many too articulate but here are some that hold I dear to me ;
Dancing across the living room floor in a ridiculous manner together after a couple of glasses of wine
Rescuing him in swimming pool in Thailand because he couldn't swim
Sending ' i love you' text messages from random airports around the world ; and
When I went into Labour with Ross saying this was the only time I would let him drive the car fast when I was in it.
People say that time heals but whilst my emotions are incredibly raw at the moment I am comforted by so many memories of a man who gave me the honour of sharing his life with me.
Sandy, thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing me I wouldn't have changed a thing.
all my love
Fleur
